23. Recreational Facilities

This chapter contains information dealing with the use of the different units of the University's recreational facilities. The information applies to all employees, students, and customers of the University, but is not all inclusive. For reference purposes, this material covers more general policies and procedures. Please consult the appropriate unit manager if you need interpretive or more specific information, or refer to the Web site of Auxiliary Services.

These policies, as written here, are not the complete policies as adopted by the State of Michigan, Board of Trustees, the Administration, or the federal government. Copies of relevant Board of Trustees policies in their entirety are available in the Board of Trustees Policy Manual.

The University's recreational facilities are subdivided into four units: Gates Tennis Center, Mont Ripley Ski Hill, Portage Lake Golf Course, and the Student Development Complex (including the ice arena). Policies and procedures regarding the services these units provide are outlined in the following sections.
