2.10.4.1. Discoverer Reports Naming Convention
General Information
In Discoverer report names, each alphanumeric character identifies some aspect (area, category, type) of the report.
The first letter is the system: F = Finance, T = Accounts Receivable, S = Student, P = Payroll
Second letter means it's not a Banner product: Y
Third letter is the module and is consistent with 2nd letter in Banner forms
- Finance
- FYAxxxnnn - Accounts Payable
- FYBxxxnnn - Budget
- FYFxxxnnn - Fixed Assets
- FYGxxxnnn - General Ledger, Operating Ledger, Transaction Detail, etc.
- FYPxxxnnn - Purchasing
- FYRxxxnnn - Research
- FYSxxxnnn - Central Stores
- Accounts Receivable
- TYSxxxnnn - Student Accounts Receivable
- TYRxxxnnn - Research Accounts Receivable
- TYGxxxnnn - General Accounts Receivable
Fourth through sixth digits indicate the business area.
Seventh through ninth digits are a number.
Below, codes with numbers indicate the starting number for each type of report (e.g. Project-to-Date Operating Ledger reports (FYGOPL2nn) will be FYGOPL201, FYGOPL202, etc.)

- FYGDTL5nn -- Operating Ledger (ledger_ind = 'O') Very rare

- Warehoused data - operating ledger only - update nightly (DET)
- FYGDET0nn -- for campus use
- FYGDET2nn -- for internal use
- FYFDETnnn -- Fixed Assets
- FYRDETnnn -- Research
- Operating Ledger
- Warehouse (OPL)
- FYGOPL0nn - Year-to-Date
- FYGOPL2nn - Project-to-Date
- FYGOPL3nn - Auxiliary
- FYGOPL4nn - General Fund
- FYROPL2nn - Research (for internal use)
- FYBOPLnnn - Budget only
- FYROPL0nn - Research (for campus use)
