18.5. Employee Safety Shoe Program

Definition

Safety Shoe: A boot or shoe with a reinforced toe that meets the requirements of ANSI Z41.


Policy

Employees will be reimbursed up to $40.00 toward the cost of their safety shoes, not to exceed the cost of the shoes (not including sales tax), once per year.


Procedure

To obtain a safety shoe reimbursement, do the following:

  1. Present the shoes and original sales receipt to Occupational Safety and Health Services (OSHS). OSHS is located in room 401A of the Administration Building.


  2. Sign the sales receipt. Accounting Services will retain the receipt.


  3. NOTE: The reimbursement will be made by check or cash.
