15. Memorial Union

Scope

This chapter contains information dealing with the services of the different units of the Memorial Union (MUB). The information applies to all departments, employees, and students of the University, but is not all inclusive. For reference purposes, this material covers more general policies and procedures; more specialized information will be covered in other publications, such as the MUB Catering Guide. Please consult the associate director of Auxiliary Services at 7-2543, if you need interpretive or more specific information, or refer to the Web site of the Memorial Union.

General Information

These policies, as written here, are not the complete policies as adopted by the State of Michigan, Board of Control, the Administration, or the federal government. Copies of relevant Board of Control policies in their entirety are available in the Board of Control Policy Manual.

The Memorial Union provides a variety of services to the campus community including catering, a food mall and convenience store, bowling, billiards, arcade, guest rooms, and meeting rooms. Policies and procedures regarding these services are outlined in the following sections. The office of Tech Express, the Campus Store, and student organization offices are also housed in the Memorial Union. Procedures for the Campus Store may be found in Chapter 16. Merchandise Group.
