Chapter 13. Library
Policy
Library materials may be used in the Library or borrowed or "charged" to personal custody at the Circulation Desk. Materials may not be "charged" without the patron presenting proper identification (see Section 13.1.5. Patron Identification).
Materials removed from stacks (taken off shelves) are not to be reshelved by patrons, but should be left on the tables for reshelving by Library personnel.
All borrowers are liable for damage costs beyond normal wear, as determined by the Library. Likewise, borrowers are liable for loss of Library materials which at a minimum, will be the replacement costs of the material plus a processing charge.
A fine or penalty may be assessed for various infractions of Library rules and regulations, in particular loan periods (see Section 13.3.4. Overdue Penalties).
