10.3. Data Solutions


Definition

Data Solutions: A unit of the department of Information Technology (IT), which provides automated mailing (address change service, Postal Soft which includes encoded change service, merge/purge, labels, and presorting); color printing; Elixir (forms); mailings; page scanning; print form; scan tools; surveys; and test scoring.


10.3.1. Color Printing

General Information

Data Solutions offers high volume color printing and copying services for general campus use at competitive prices. Many types of paper are kept in stock to allow for on-demand service. The Xerox DocuColor 12 copier/printer provides high quality, 600x600x8 bit color depth quality.


Procedure

To access the color printer in Data Solutions, do the following:

  1. Have the systems administrator down load the print driver for a Xerox Fiery X12/Xp12 from the Xerox Web site.

From a windows PC, to print a color print job, do the following:

  1. Click on File, then click on Print.


  2. Select Xerox DocuColor 12 printer, click on Properties.


  3. Click on Owner Information Note: (blue bars) and type in Notes 1 your account number, then click send.


  4. NOTE: If all fails, e-mail to operator-l as an attachment.

  5. Contact Data Solutions by calling 7-2265, if there are problems connecting to the printer.

If color copies are desired, bring the original to room 217 of the Administration and Student Services Building.
