Section 10.2. Administrative Computing Services
Functional Leader: The individual responsible for the functional aspects of the management information system and the primary business liaison to the administrative computing department.
Technical Leader: The individual responsible for the technical functioning of their assigned management information system and the primary technical liaison to the administrative unit for their assigned management information system.
Each functional area supported by ACS has an assigned technical leader. Each administrative unit has a functional leader. The functional leader and their department are directly supported by the ACS technical leader. Training and support of users is provided from the administrative computing department that is responsible for the particular business function being used. An example of this is the Accounting Services area. ACS has a technical leader assigned to support the Accounting Services area, staff, and functional leader. Accounting Services provides training and support for those that access the finance system and data that resides on the central administrative computing system.
