Section 10.5. Educational Technology Services
Media Production: A unit of Educational Technology Services (ETS) that provides services for distance learning telecourses, audio/video tape duplications, and instructional video programs.
Studio Classroom: A 50-seat broadcast quality studio which has an instructor's console with program monitors, teleprompter, graphics area, wireless audio system, and a separate control booth. The studio is equipped with multimedia input devices including an overhead camera, computer scan converter, Internet connection, world standard videotape recorders, satellite feeds, digital slide projector and other media. The classroom, located in Electrical Energy Resources Center (EERC), room B45, and is managed by ETS.
ETS will schedule all credit and non-credit telecourses in the EERC studio classroom (B45).
All credit and non-credit telecourses scheduled in EERC B45 will be charged according to the ETS Rate Sheet <http://www.ets.mtu.edu/ratesheet.html>. Pre-produced instructional programming, promotional videos, editing, graphics, additional staffing, or other production requests represent additional costs as published.
Telecourses must be identified as either broadcast or non-broadcast thirty (30) days prior to the first day of the class on the Michigan Tech campus.
Requests for duplicate copies of telecourses may be made up to the first day of class at Michigan Tech. Requests must include the number of duplications and the videotape format.
