10.4.1.1.1. Campus Announcement List (alldepts-l)

Campus Announcement List (alldepts-l): An announcement list, sent to one person in each department, who in turn forwards the note to appropriate persons in the department. Typically, these messages are broadly informative in nature and include such topics as campus events, application deadlines, and event or department schedule changes. This list is for distribution of information to all Michigan Tech faculty and staff and is maintained by Marketing Communications in the department of University Relations.

To send an e-mail message using the alldepts-l(L) mailing list, do the following:

1. Send the desired message via e-mail with <alldepts-l@mtu.edu> in the To: field.


NOTE: The message will go to the mailing list moderator (University Relations) who determines if the message is appropriate for campus-wide distribution. If the message is approved, the moderator begins the pyramid distribution with no further action needed by the original sender.
