Awards Committee
Charge:	Make recommendations and nominations for alumni awards.

Computer Committee
Charge:	Develop policy and make recommendations regarding computers and computer use within the School.

Continuing Education Committee
Charge:	Arrange for the extension of the technical expertise of personnel in the School to interested professional and lay persons.

Curriculum Committee
Charge:	Receive proposed course and curriculum changes and make recommendations to the Dean; maintain and keep the curriculum course work guide updated and current.

Graduate Studies Committee
Charge:	Respond to inquiries concerning graduate study, make recommendations to Graduate School regarding admission, and monitor progress of graduate students.

Greenhouse Committee
Charge:	Develop policies and procedures regarding use and maintenance of the greenhouse and related facilities.

Promotion and Tenure Committee
Charge:	Make recommendations regarding promotion, tenure, and continuation of appointments.

Publications Committee
Charge:	Prepare copy and arrange for publication of MTU Forestry News.

Recruitment and Retention Committee
Charge:	Develop and implement procedures to enhance recruitment and retention of undergraduate and graduate students.

Research Committee
Charge:	Assist the Dean regarding research activities and opportunities.

Soils Lab Committee
Charge:	Develop policies for administering soils laboratory facilities and activities.

School of Technology

Administrative Council
Charge:	Facilitate communication between the Dean and the Coordinators.

Administrative Policy Committee
Charge:	Advise the Dean on the development and/or modification of administrative policies.

Associate Degree Curriculum Committee
Reports to:	Executive Vice President and Provost
Charge:	Evaluate and recommend action on proposals (in the less than baccalaureate degree areas of the School of Technology) to add, drop, and/or change the credit, prerequisites, and/or courses/curricula.
Membership:	Faculty appointed by the Executive Vice President and Provost upon recommendations of Dean of School of Technology and of the four-year University departments whose disciplines are represented in a two-year program.

Computer Committee

Charge:

Supervise operation of the computer laboratory and advise on computer education, hardware, and software.

General Education Committee
Charge:	Develop policy and approve course and cluster proposals for the surveying program.

Joint Service Course Committee with the Electrical Engineering Department
Reports to:	Coordinator of the Electrical Engineering Technology Program and Department Chair of Electrical Engineering
Charge:	Coordinate the activities of the Electrical Engineering Technology faculty in teaching service courses in the Electrical Engineering Department.
Membership:	Faculty member appointed by the Dean, School of Technology and one faculty member appointed by the Department Chair, Electrical Engineering.

Promotion and Tenure Committee
Charge:	Review recommendations for tenure and promotion.
Membership:	Composed of Coordinators of Programs.

Scholarly Activities Incentive Committee
Charge:	Distribute funds to faculty in the School of Technology which will be used for scholarly activities and professional development.
Membership:	Rotating appointments - 3 year term of service. Elected by Faculty in the School of Technology.

Surveying Advisory Committee
Charge:	Coordinate surveying activities among departments.
Membership:	By invitation of the Dean of the School of Technology and Surveying Coordinator.
