ADA Committee
Reports to: Affirmative Action Officer
Charge: Advise the affirmative action officer regarding accommodations and considerations.
Membership: Staff and faculty representatives invited by the affirmative action officer.


AIDS Task Force
Reports to: President
Charge: Promote student and employee wellness, pay close attention to the needs and concerns of the University community, and take appropriate precautions on its behalf in light of the nature of the HIV virus.
Membership: Representatives from staff, faculty, students and community.


Academic Integrity Committee
Reports to: Vice Provost for Student Affairs
Charge: Hear appeals from students concerning disciplinary decisions, student elections, other student issues.
Membership: Faculty, undergraduate students, graduate students, and student affairs staff.


Campus Enrichment Committee
Reports to: Executive Vice President and Provost
Charge: Develop and support programs which will stimulate cultural and intellectual life at MTU.
Membership: Representatives from faculty and students appointed by the Executive Vice President and Provost.

Capital Projects Planning Committee
Reports to: President
Charge: Develop a long-range capital projects plan consistent with the Physical Master Plan and the University's Strategic Plan.
Membership: Executive Vice President and Provost, Dean of Engineering, Dean of Sciences and Arts, Director of Facilities Management, Vice President for Governmental Relations, three faculty.


Century II Campaign Endowed Equipment Fund Committee (C2E2)
Reports to: President
Charge: Review and provide recommendations for funding of proposals for disbursement of unrestricted funds contributed to the University by corporations and private donors.
Membership: Representatives from faculty and research staff appointed by the President.


Computer Executive Committee (CEX)
Reports to: Executive Vice President and Provost
Charge: Develop and implement computing-related policies.
Membership: Deans, Vice Presidents, Vice Provost for Information Technology.


Computer Advisory Committee (CAC)
Reports to: Computer Executive Committee
Charge: Provides a forum for discussion of computing-related issues at MTU and makes recommendations to the Computer Executive Committee on computing policies, procedures, initiatives, and directions.
Membership: Representatives of faculty and staff.

Conflict of Interest Committee (Senate)
Reports to: Executive Vice President and Provost
Charge: Review and provide recommendations regarding Category IV activities, modifications of conflict of interest policies and procedures, and hear appeals regarding Category II and III activities.
Membership: Representatives appointed by the University Senate.


Distinguished Teacher Award Decision Committee
Reports to: Director, Center for Teaching, Learning, and Faculty Development
Charge: Decide on nominees and make final decision.
Membership: Representatives from students, staff, and faculty.


Faculty Development Committee
Reports to: Director, Center for Teaching, Learning, and Faculty Development
Charge: To contribute to faculty development, particularly by supporting activities relating directly to improved teaching or to faculty research development or both.
Membership: Faculty representatives appointed by the Director, Center for Teaching, Learning, and Faculty Development.


Faculty Review Committee (Senate)
Reports to: Executive Vice President and Provost
Charge: Review and provide recommendations regarding grievances that go beyond step two of the grievance process.
Membership: Ombudsperson and two faculty elected by the faculty at large.


Financial Aid Satisfactory Progress and Status Appeal Committee
Reports to: Executive Director of Enrollment Management
Charge: To determine Financial Aid eligibility when a student does not meet the Satisfactory Progress Policy or status definition requirements.
Membership: Representatives from the Registrar's Office, Financial Aid, and Student Affairs.
