Chapter 9. Fees

9.5. Special Fees, Tuition, and Pricing

  1. The Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs is authorized to establish special fees for certain course offerings requiring unusual amounts of supplies and/or tools.

  2. The Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs is authorized to establish fees and prices for the following:

    1. Educational programs, courses, conferences and the like not otherwise covered by the regular schedule of tuition for instruction and public service, upon presentation of an acceptable budget.

    2. Housing and food service for those situations not otherwise covered by the regular full-term housing rate schedules approved by the Board of Control.

    3. Services, such as, by way of illustration not limitation, providing transcripts, changing housing assignments, offering memberships in various facilities, athletic events, concerts, lectures, photo-copying.

    4. Sales of materials, services, and supplies, such as by way of example and not limitation, books, educational supplies, sports equipment, stumpage, wood, sundries, etc.

    5. The Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs may delegate the authority granted in section 2, by written designation.

  3. The Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs is authorized to assess reasonable fines and penalties for failure to follow published rules and regulations of the University.
