Effective Date: 10/04/2007
8.4. University Residence Hall Visitation Policy
Visitation is interpreted as a social visit of relatively short duration. This should not be confused with housing guests. Considerate use of the visitation privilege is the most important factor contributing to the success of a visitation policy.
- Visiting should not interfere with the rights of roommates and other residents in the hall.
- Sponsoring students shall assume strict responsibility for their guest or guests and for adhering to these guidelines.
- Guests must be escorted at all times. Violations of the visitation policy will be handled through the existing University disciplinary channels.
- Individuals present in any residence hall living areas who are not residents of that hall or invited guests of a resident may be treated as trespassers.
