Members of the armed forces stationed on active duty in the State of Michigan shall be classified as residents of the state for the purpose of registration at Michigan Technological University and that the benefits of such classification shall accrue to the families of such members in the armed services in the same manner as now accrue to the families of residents of this state.
The intent is to extend this courtesy to members of the armed forces while in active duty but shall not apply after discharge as the member will then resume non-resident standing.
