Military personnel of the Department of Defense assigned by one of the armed services to attend Michigan Technological University on a full-time basis for a six-month period shall be exempt from the present residence requirement to the extent that they be accepted as candidates for the bachelor's degree upon the completion of two terms in residence at the University; and that this acceptance be continued for as long as such military personnel may be assigned, or until revoked by appropriate action of the Board of Control.
