14.1. File and Record Security

The following records in the custody of the Michigan Technological University are private and not subject to disclosure by University officers unless prior approval is granted by the individual or individuals concerned provided that the University honors its statutory and contractual obligations for the provision of information:

1. Individual records of academic achievement.
   
   
2. Medical and other individual records.
