1) The Board of Control pursuant to and subject to Public Act 120, Public Acts of 1990, as amended, grants to those Public Safety Officers now or hereafter approved by the Vice President for Administration those powers and authority as are granted by law to peace and police officers to enforce State Laws and to enforce the Ordinances, Rules and Regulations of the Board of Control on all property owned or leased by the University or subject to its control, including any public right of way traversing or immediately contiguous to such property.
2) Pursuant to Public Act 80, Public Acts of 1905, as amended. Those public safety officers now or hereafter approved by the Vice President for Administration are empowered with all authority prescribed by Public Act 80 to enforce all Rules, Regulations and Ordinances of the Board of Control governing University property.
This revised Policy is a reaffirmation and continuation of all such powers previously granted and a renewed grant of such power and authority effective on its date of adoption.
