Acquisition is the method by which MTU obtains, receives, and becomes accountable for property.
The most common method of acquisition is purchasing. Other methods include donations, transfers, loans, leases, fabrications, and sponsor-furnished property.
Each method of acquisition has unique procedures and policies.
